Tidd Tree is a locally owned, fully insured tree service company proudly serving the Kansas City Metro area. We’re known for our professional crew, large branded equipment, and a safety record that speaks for itself.
Safety is no accident at Tidd Tree. We take the safety of our crew and your home or building very seriously. We employ the use of standard tree trimming guidance to ensure that we remain accident-free for every job we do.
Considering the high incident rate of accidents that CAN occur, we have remained accident-free since 2017. That commitment to safety is especially important during storm season, when hazardous or unstable trees may require emergency tree removal or specialized solutions like crane-assisted tree removal to protect homes and buildings.

Chris Tidd has been in the tree business since 2013, starting out with another local Kansas City tree service company. In 2017, driven by a vision to build a company that not only beautifies the KC Metro area but also gives back to the community, Chris launched Tidd Tree as a one-man operation.
From doing it all — billing, bookkeeping, and tree work — Chris has grown Tidd Tree into a thriving team of 16, with a fully owned fleet of sleek, branded equipment designed for safe, efficient work.
Why the Pink?
Speaking of giving back, you will notice that Breast Cancer Awareness is incorporated in the colors, logos, and branding of Tidd Tree. This is a special cause to the Tidds.
At 16 years old my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer for the first time. She promised all of us she would be ok and she was even going through chemo, surgery and radiation treatments. We thought the worst was behind us then 5 years later it was back. This time the treatment was much more aggressive and took a toll on the entire family.
She did go to work every day setting the example of a strong work ethic that has carried on to me to this day. With the breast cancer ribbon on all of our trucks, we hope to encourage women to remember to conduct their routine self exams and schedule their mammograms. It saved my Mom’s life.
Below is her story:
Initial Diagnosis
- First diagnosed at age 38, no family history noted
- Self-exam found a lump
- First mammogram, ultrasound and biopsy
- First biopsy inconclusive
- The tumor continued to grow
- Went back to OB/GYN and then to surgeon
- Lumpectomy scheduled – positive results of 3.5 centimeter tumor
- 4 chemo treatments
- 24 radiation treatment
- Follow up visit every 6 month for 5 years
Second Diagnosis
- At the 5 year check up and mammogram – another tumor was found on the other breast
- Radical mastectomy done
- Genetic testing showed positive for the BRCA-2 gene mutation
A special note from Tracy:
I was blessed to have a supportive husband and family throughout treatments as well as friends and co-workers and a supportive work environment. Life is good – I have some battle wounds from the treatments, but still here to spend time with my family and friends.
